Bleeding (Sangría)
Jesús is a 15-year-old boy who dreams of recording a homemade horror movie, starring Lara, his platonic love. The odds seem decisively stacked against him. An overprotective and extremely religious mother, classmates who bully him and a strange disease that forces him to use a wheelchair all stand in his way. But on Halloween night, they will all become part of his macabre film.
Interview with Writer/Director/Producer Andrea Segarra Bueno
Congratulations! Why did you make your film?
Like Argento used to say... "To be loved".
Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?
This is the film I wanted to watch as a spectator. It didn't exist, so I made it. Hope you like it.
How do personal and universal themes work in your film?
I've put a lot of myself into this film. I have a strong desire to discuss bullying and lgtbq+ in horror genre conventions.
How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development?
A lot. The story began with the main character, Jes<unk>s, and his dream to make a horror film. The other characters were invented to make it harder for him to achieve his desires. We had to make adjustments during both the shoot and the post-production.
What type of feedback have you received so far?
I'm waiting for the world premiere.
What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?
To engage with people who like my work.
Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?
Everyone is well received.
What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?
My hope is for it to be liked, enjoyed, and thought about by people.
What’s a key question that will help spark a debate or begin a conversation about this film?
Neither the good ones are so good nor the bad ones are so bad.
