Congratulations! Why did you make your film?
Having an unexplained paranormal experience as a child gave me an innate curiosity in the unknown and the unexplained. One location from my childhood riddled me with fear; the infamously haunted Quarantine Station, Manly. My brother would scare me with spooky tales of extreme paranormal experiences that would take place on their nightly ghost tours. This made my own paranormal experience more real and frightening.
As an adult, my inquisitiveness was once again roused, when I completed a feature film on the very site that had once plagued me. So many strange things happened during filming, that I felt compelled to finally face my childhood fears and experiences, and look deeper.
I embarked on this project because I wanted to seek the truth. I wanted to see if there were alternative reasons for unexplained phenomena. I wanted to push the boundaries, to take it further than just ghosts and hauntings, and actually get to the core of what the paranormal realm really represents. To me, this is not just a journey of ghost hunting, but a journey of spiritual awakening and growth.
Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?
Experiencing something 'paranormal' or unexplained, is something most of us experience at some time in our lives, but are often too afraid to talk about.
This series asks the hard questions. It explores how we are all part of something much bigger than ourselves, how we are all connected, and how there's much more to our everyday world than meets the eye!
Expect the unexpected.
To its last breath this series is a unique, sensitive, deep dive into the unknown.
How do personal and universal themes work in your film?
I believe that everyone has unexplained experiences in some way, shape or form – be it a sense, or a feeling, or even a series of synchronicities. I had unanswered questions about this site (The Quarantine Station), about the existence of other realms, and why some people are more ‘sensitive’ to that which is beyond the current limitations of science and our physical senses. This series follows my personal journey, and looks at questions most people have about phenomena which is currently unexplained.
How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development?
Absolutely. The Space Between is a documentary series that follows my authentic personal journey. As my journey evolved, so did the script and the series!
What type of feedback have you received so far?

Interesting and thought provoking. An intersection of spiritual, philosophical, scientific phenomena. An interpretation of universal connection, the human psyche and consciousness, perception, experience, reality, patterns, traumas, belonging, acceptance, freedom and truth. A must watch if you dare to be open and believe that souls or spirits exist.
A fascinating look behind an iconic Sydney location and the history of haunted location

Sydney's Quarantine Station (now affectionately known as QStation) provides the locale of this fabulous documentary. Not only does it explore the history of the site which protected the country from the diseases and pandemics of the past, but it explores the ripple effects still experienced through time at this site today. Known as a haunted location, the documentary also delves into the spiritual and paranormal seeking evidence to support the many experiences reported over the years. Not only do we hear many of the stories from the people and guides that have worked there, but we get to see mediums and some amazing Australian paranormal teams investigating using various techniques. You will have to watch to see what they uncover, but it is clear that this haunting beautiful location is definitely one that touches the hearts and minds of many of its visitors.

Well researched and thought provoking documentary. Loved every minute. The cast were fantastic and extremely professional and the whole project was just amazing! Loved the history of the Quarantine Station and the processes involved in their conclusions. You can really tell how passionate everyone involved was about the series. Hope there will be more to come!
Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?
We were concerned that some paranormal enthusiasts wouldn't accept the series as it explores diverse explanations for unexplained events (not just ghosts and scares). It was however, received really well and this was one of the main things that people enjoyed and appreciated!
What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?
We would like to achieve sales.
Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?
We have a sales agent (Flame Distribution). Buyers would be fantastic, and media would be great!
What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?
This documentary takes the viewer on a journey of discovery beyond the fun and mystery of ghost stories and folk tales, into the realm of spirituality and deeper universal meaning, and in doing so challenges belief systems and breaks open the doors for discussion, by offering alternate explanations for what these unknown occurrences can represent, and why we may be experiencing them.
We would like it to open up a broader conversation about paranormal and unexplained experiences, trauma and it's impact, and empathy.
What’s a key question that will help spark a debate or begin a conversation about this film?
The Space Between explores the space between this world and the next. What do you believe?
What other projects are the key creatives developing or working on now?
We are in production of seasons 2 and 3. We're working on a kids feature called ImagineLand that we developed with our 5yr old twins, which explores diversity.
