Florida Film Festival 2019 – That's It
A young woman, nervous about her first sexual experience, gets advice from her eccentric aunt.
Interview with Writer/Director Nikki J Willson
Congratulations! Why did you make your film?
We made this short film as part of the Orlando 48 Hour Film Competition.
Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?
This is a fun, comedic story about a young girl ready to get her virginity over with. It's entertaining!
How do personal and universal themes work in your film?
This story is relatable for any adult woman who has lost their virginity. Our main character's experience is quite universal.
How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development?
The script did not change, once developed.
What type of feedback have you received so far?
We won the Audience Choice Award at the Brouhaha Film Festival in the fall of 2018, and have received a lot of positive feedback from viewers.
What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?
Hoping to expand our audience, and give more viewers the opportunity to see this entertaining film.
Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?
We'd love to see this film in more film festivals, as well as potentially distributed someday!
What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?
We'd love to be able to tell more stories like this, and an audience would help motivate our next film project.
What’s a key question that will help spark a debate or begin a conversation about this film?
The film's subject matter could definitely spark a debate about the experience young women have during their formative years, specifically losing their virginity.
What other projects are the key creatives developing or working on now?
We have a feature documentary film in post-production, with some additional filming to capture, a narrative feature film in development, two short films in post-production, and a couple of web series in development currently!
