Interview with Director Chris Cassidy
Congratulations! Why did you make your film?
I made Dennis and Lois because I think their story is a great one and deserves a place in rock n roll history.
Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?
If you like seeing a film about two people doing what they love no matter what life throws at you, you will like this film. Music lovers as well.
How do personal and universal themes work in your film?
One of the subjects of Dennis and Lois went through a serious change throughout the film. What came out of this was the importance and emphasis that life is short, and do what you live forever, no matter what happens.
How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development?
Yes, the story evolved as time went on. When Lois was faced with some health issues, the film started to take on a new meaning.
What type of feedback have you received so far?
Very positive. People seem to really enjoy the story.
Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?
Not necessarily.
What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?
Basically just more exposure and awareness of Dennis and Lois.
Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?
Journalists, film festival directors, etc.
What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?
A positive one. Would love for people to look at this film as a true testament of how people should never stop doing what they love to do.
What’s a key question that will help spark a debate or begin a conversation about this film?
How do they afford the lifestyle.
