Vagabonds follows the story of Rachel, a young woman in her early 20's, who lives with her Nigerien uncle (Danny Glover) and his American wife (Edythe Davis). When the girl's aunt has had enough of her niece's free-spirited lifestyle she kicks her out of the house, giving her husband, Rachel's quiet-spoken uncle, little say on the matter. Rachel is left to figure it out on her own, but quickly runs into Skeeter, a washed-up movie star whose life is surprisingly similar to hers. Together, they decide to "play a part" in hopes of both getting what they need.

Congratulations! Why did you make your film?

I needed to tell my story and how people can struggle in LA.

Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?

The plot is interesting isn’t it?

How do personal and universal themes work in your film?

It’s a very personal story and struggling and being homeless is definitely a universal theme. So these two combine quite well in my film.

How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development?

Script was written in one month. Pre production took two weeks and shooting took three days. It all went very fast.

The idea came to me as I was looking for a place in L.A then I traveled to New York for a film festival in which my previous short film was in. And finished the script with my cousin there.

What type of feedback have you received so far?

The same main feedback that I get every time someone watches it provided they like it is = “I didn’t want it to end”.

Made me wanna turn it into a feature of it.

Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?

Yes. I didn’t think people would enjoy it that much.

What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?

What were the means of this film?

Would you like to add anything else?

Indeed I think people spend way too much money to make not necessarily quality films.

U can make quality with 0€.

What other projects are the key creatives developing or working on now?

I just produced a music video for 16€ in Tokyo and I have to say I’m super proud of it. My editor and director are a genius.
