New York 2150

November 15, 2017 by Carmela Baranowska

In the year 2150, intergalactic bounty hunter Jayden Jaxon must face the
ghosts of his past while chasing a deadly target in New Manhattan.

Interview with Writer, Director, Producer, VFX, Editor Harry Assouline

Watch New York 2150 here:

Congratulations! Why are you making your film?

I have always wanted to create my own story and having worked in all fields, I felt
comfortable to create a project that I would be the one who has the final say.

Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?

If you’re a fan of science fiction with a taste for action, this indie Tv Pilot should satisfy
your expectation. Indie films are usually based on original content and unfortunately
have a lack of funds so less professional equipment which is not the case of this project.

How do personal and universal themes work in your film?

Despite the fact that New York 2150 takes place in the future, most situations relate to
the actual present-day world. Technology doesn’t bring people closer, we keep our
emotion to ourselves and try to move on with our lives. And we can do things better
together than by ourselves.

New York 2150

How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development?

I wrote the script in two months then quickly I developed the bible as I was doing the
pre-production. The storyboard was completed as well as many 3d elements that were
going to be integrated in the film. Once the cast was locked we did a table reading
followed by many rehearsals and then began to shoot.

What type of feedback have you received so far?

I have received many compliments toward the realistic visual effects and the
professionalism overall.

Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?

The feedback was a good surprise for the most part, I have done my best to overcome
the flaws I have encountered during the process and learned so much along this
journey.

New York 2150

What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on
www.wearemovingstories.com?

Creating more awareness, getting more followers and, eventually, gathering an interest
from people in the film industry.

Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors,
film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?

Anyone from any industry is welcome, but I would say mostly: producers, buyers,
journalists, investors, Tv channels, Network, streaming… You get the idea.

What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?

I would like this Tv series to become on a streaming platform. I could work on it but I am
also willing to sell it since I have other ideas ready to be developed.

New York 2150

What’s a key question that will help spark a debate or begin a conversation about
this film?

Would you want to have a Tv series mixing the ambiance of Blade Runner and the
action from Guardians of the galaxy?

What other projects are the key creatives developing or working on now?

I can’t talk about it for the moment but all I can say is that I am a big science fiction fan.
