Under the sky, we are all the same.
Interview with Writer Cristian Saliadarre
Congratulations! Why are you making your film?
To share with the world my personal experiences, about how fragile relationships can be…and the reality on disability awareness.
Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?
To shed a light on how the physically and mentally disadvantaged live and how they love and how they suffer in silence. I've written a story of what I went through with my father, and not only the environmental and sociological aspects of the neighbourhood where I lived in South West Sydney, but the politically driven hidden agendas surrounding this community housing development area.
How do personal and universal themes work in your film?
They work because it deals with the confrontational issues of relationships, love and mending broken relationships, and that we are all connected somehow, whether you believe that or not, we live in an interwoven world..
How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development and production?
It has evolved depth wise….I've explored every character in its fullest and tried to dwell deep down inside their souls, their inner fears, their hearts and dreams.
What type of feedback have you received so far?
Great feedback, I've been approached by several key people in the industry that have felt a strong connection with my story and who want to be part of this awakening.
Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?
Yes because I never imagined someone would want to hear about such a delicate subject matter and especially the exposure to what I experienced in this community.
What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?
To make people aware of what's really going on with the disadvantaged, and handicapped, that we all go through hardships, loss, and we all hurt the same..and love the same with the same intensity.
Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?
I need a producer that understands the importance of telling this story in all its depth and pain, i need journalists to write up on this story and funding to shoot it..I already have signed a world wide distribution deal with Bob Shami of SHAMI MEDIA GROUP USA and my sales agent is LIZ TAYLOR of WILD-MAPLE FILMS CANADA…via my music manager Mark.S.Berry of AMG Canada.
What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?
To touch people's hearts and hope they reach out to their loved ones and mend their relationships because life is short and once someone dies, it's too late to retrace ones steps.
What’s a key question that will help spark a debate or begin a conversation about this film?
The intensity of relationships, and also the situation of displacement of the disadvantaged in community housing NSW and Australia wide.
Would you like to add anything else?
I hope people that have lost a loved one will resonate and find hope that it's never too late to rebuild one's relationships.
What are the key creatives developing or working on now?
Cristian Saliadarre (myself), Michael Wray, Deb Muller, and Steve Bastoni who has been advising me and helping me with his knowledge and input on how to make my story great and make an impact by making people cry and laugh.
