A mysterious girl pursues a young man in her new, small town home. Coinciding deaths and a disappearance create a common thread between them, as they struggle with young love and loss over the course of one summer.

Interview with Writer/Director Eric Chaney

Congratulations! Why did you make your film?

Because I felt I had to, and wanted to, and once I found the actors, felt I could see it. So, I kept chasing it until it was done.

Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?

It's honest.

How do personal and universal themes work in your film?

Broken homes, young love. I've seen these things. A lot of us have seen these things.

How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development and production?

Slowly, correctly, completely, and unexpectedly.

What type of feedback have you received so far?

From very bad to great.

Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?

Yes, and ultimately, in time, the overall response helped me to grow I believe as a person, as a writer and hopefully as a director.

What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible onwww.wearemovingstories.com?

I'm not so good with expectations, but I'm happy to talk about the film, grateful you're interested. Maybe it will help with the next film!?

Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?

We have iTunes and Amazon lined up, and may then do DVDs. I'll be seeking financing for my next film soon.

What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?

I don't really think like that. I enjoy and look forward to writing, production, and editing. The art of bringing the material to the world, once the mentioned portions are done, is not my area of expertise.

What’s a key question that will help spark a debate or begin a conversation about this?

Did Mark leave? And if so, why did he leave Christina? Is he following in his father’s footsteps, or fighting doing so? Or, was it too much loss to take on?

What are the key creatives developing or working on now?

I'm not sure exactly. I know Arturo is on Broad City and very active. He had 3 things lined up last I heard. Robert is focusing more on directing I think. Isabelle was in Greetings From Tim Buckley and Frances Ha. Christine was in Entourage the movie.
