Awareness Film Festival - Choice
You have the power to change your world
Interview with Producer Greg Hopkinson
Congratulations! Why did you make your film?
To show that inner peace is possible for individuals, for communities and ultimately for all of humanity. All that is required is for the individual to make a choice to move towards that for themselves. We want CHOICE to inspire people to make that choice.
Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?
Watching CHOICE will irreversibly shift your awareness. As a consequence you will be inclined to make different choices that will lead to more contentment, more inner peace, and more effective life.
How do personal and universal themes work in your film?
The universal quest is for a life of unbroken peace and happiness, and to have a sense of purpose. Every single person on the planet wants that, but most of us don't believe it is possible. But it is. This is the theme of CHOICE. The audience will be very aware that the people interviewed are experiencing what we all want.
How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development and production?
We (reluctantly) began with a script, but it was quickly usurped by the flow to the filmmaking process. We thought some interviews would be Impactful, but for one reason or another they didn't present. These were effortlessly replaced by more powerful & relevant stories. Effectively, the film has written itself. We have just followed the camera and the editor.
What type of feedback have you received so far?
People watching the film say they've never been so attentive watching a film before. They share how they experienced profound peace and stillness, and that it has inspired them (already) to make different choices in their life. Many were moved to tears.
Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?
I didn't know what to expect, and I guess I still don't. My view point hasn't been challenged because when anyone is asked, "What do you want more than anything in life? What is your highest desire?" Everyone responds: "Peace, happiness, unconditional love and contentment." That is the premise of CHOICE.
What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?
To inspire people to watch CHOICE www.choicethefilm.com
Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?
Journalists.
What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?
To irreversibly and profoundly expand consciousness, so that it becomes easy and effortless for everyone to choose for inner peace.
What’s a key question that will help spark a debate or begin a conversation about this film?
Peace within humanity is possible in this life time. All that is required is for the individual to make a choice to move towards experiencing peace. It's up to you.
Would you like to add anything else?
Thank you for this opportunity!
What are the key creatives developing or working on now?
Writers and producers are completing the production of ten shorter supporting films showing people from all walks of life making the choice for peace; and we are finishing the translation of the film into ten languages.
Interview: October 2016
