Interview with Writer/Director/Producer Nihat Seven
Congratulations! Why did you make your film?
Telling human stories, sharing them with others to give a voice for less fortunate people.
Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?
Telling an honest and real story with extra miles cinematic touch.
How do personal and universal themes work in your film?
It is a story of the human condition and struggles against the system and the world.
How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development?
Actually, it didn't evolve much or changed since it is based on true stories. I tried to stick to that because this story was so powerful. My only concern was to tell these stories delightfully in cinematic term and language without harming the authenticity of the stories. I hate extreme artificial aesthetic concern. For me, storytelling should be centred on filmmaking.
What type of feedback have you received so far?
Yes, the feedback has been positive and powerful.
Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?
No, it made me feel even more strongly about this subject.
What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?
Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?
Producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists
What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?
More awareness and seriousness for Domestic violence by the local government.
