Congratulations! Why did you make your film?
Thank you! I was intrigued by Uwe Boll and the legend behind him, once I dug further into his story I knew it was less black and white than most people had assumed.
Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?
If nothing else it’s a great look behind the scenes into the filmmaking world and how it operates. Uwe Boll is a great glimpse into that world because he is so transparent and his career spans so many years.
How do personal and universal themes work in your film?
I could relate to Uwe's drive as a filmmaker and his independent spirit. Although we may not agree on everything he has such a great energy about him.
How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development?
We let the subjects craft the documentary. We wanted to tell a balanced story, while not shying away from the grittier stuff and the best way to achieve that was to just listen and assemble the footage afterwards.
What type of feedback have you received so far?
Its been great! It is so nice to start getting the film out and hearing all the feedback.
Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?
No, I can't say it has really. I knew we had a good film coming out of the editing room, I'm just happy it has been received so positively.
What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?
It is always nice to get the word out to more people so we can roll that enthusiasm into the next production.
Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?
We have secured our Canadian distribution and are still seeking world sales through our sales agent Palatin. More appearances in festivals and press really help drive up the buzz!
What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?
We just hope it opens people's eyes to Uwe's real story and that they can look at him in a different light afterwards.
What’s a key question that will help spark a debate or begin a conversation about this film?
Is Uwe Boll the worst filmmaker of all time?
