Brooklyn Moving Company
The members of an unconventional moving company try in earnest to transform the lives of their Brooklyn clientele through song and dance.
Interview with actress Molly Ryan
Congratulations! Why did you make your video?
To have a chance to work with the talented writers and other actors in this project.
Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this?
You’ll laugh. I promise.
How do personal and universal themes work in your project?
The idea that you can find joy and humor in almost any life circumstance is something I believe people can take away from the Pilot.
What type of feedback have you received so far?
The Pilot for Brooklyn Moving Company premiered at the New York Television Festival and the response has been very encouraging so far.
Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?
The most surprising thing so far has been meeting the many actors, filmmakers, writers and directors in similar positions, creating their own work and how encouraging and kind everyone has been.
What are you looking to achieve by having your project more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?
The opportunity to meet more people interested in collaborating on television, film and live theater projects.
What type of impact and/or reception would you like to have?
High visibility to faster creativity would be great
What other projects are the key creatives developing or working on now?
Molly is currently involved in two live theater projects at the People’s Improv Theater. She plays Penny in ZIP ZAP DEAD, a short comedic play about an improv show gone awry when a murder takes place in the theater. ZIP ZAP DEAD premieres August 23rd. Molly is also a cast member of Tuff Boys Presents: 24 hr Musical a show where the group writes, stages, and choreographs a biographical musical based on the life of one audience member selected at random from pre-sale tickets. The next 24 hr Musical is on August 25th.
