Awareness Film Festival - Quadrilyzed
QUADRILYZED is the story of Jason's new version of life as an athlete, as a photographer, and as a father.
Congratulations! Why did you make your film?
Quadrilyzed documents Tahoe-based photographer Jason Abraham's life-altering ski injury and recovery.
Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?
The film focuses on the positive, the changes Abraham has made, challenges he has overcome, and the hope he still has that he will walk again.
How do personal and universal themes work in your film?
QUADRILYZED is the story of Jason's new version of life as an athlete, as a photographer, as a quadriplegic, and — above all else — as a loving, committed husband and father.
How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development and production?
We reworked the script numerous times and really brought in Kate / Jason to tell the story to make sure they were telling their "real" story. We did about 10 versions before finishing on the final.
What type of feedback have you received so far?
All positive and shared my many mountain action sports publications including Power Magazine, The Inertia and Teton Gravity.
Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?
NOPE, if anything, the feedback has been so positive in the way we show the true life changing events for someone with this level of injury.
What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?
More awareness for the film and telling the story.
To share Abraham's experience and journey with the High Fives Foundation while raising awareness and inspiration towards the High Fives Foundation.
Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?
Distributors and Film Festival Directors
What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?
Inspirational and positive!
What’s a key question that will help spark a debate or begin a conversation about this film?
Why hasn't quadriplegia been cured?
What are the key creatives developing or working on now?
Recovery in any form.
Interview: October 2016
