Congratulations! Why did you make your music video?

This is what my major focus is right now. I love working with the bands and enjoy the artistic freedom that goes along with it. Directing commercials and films are both very important goals of mine, but music video is my passion.

How did you approach the singer or band to become involved in the music video?

The band's producer put us together. From there, we hit it off. This is the second of three videos I've done for the band.

Could you discuss the technical considerations behind this music video?

The bar we shot in (Nublu in NYC) has a lot of spaces and areas that wouldn't work for the look of the video. Shooting around these areas was the biggest challenge - as well as getting all the band members to show up on time.

How have the script for the music video evolved over the course of their development and production?

I write, direct, shoot and edit my work - so it is constantly evolving - all the way through the end of the edit. Band input and budget constraints also add a little more need for creativity.

What type of feedback have you received so far?

The feedback has been great. I'm especially excited to be screening at Dances With Films again. I screened there a couple years ago and the festival directors and the filmmakers are amazing.

Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?

No matter what the feedback - good or bad - I am always challenging myself to do better on the next film.

Director: Erik Christopher Lopez

What are you looking to achieve by having your music video more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?

Your platform is great. I love what you stand for. As for the video, they are an indie band so publicity is hard to come by. Getting the word out about the band and my work is something that is always a good thing.

Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this music video’s message?

I'd love to talk to anyone that likes it. If they can help me or the band create more work or get the word out, that is even better.

What type of impact and/or reception would you like this music video to have?

Of course I hope everyone that sees it, loves it and is then inspired by it - or at least watches it all the way through.

What are you working on now?

I just released their third video, Galileo. I'm developing a few projects now and hope to be shooting next month.
