Congratulations! Why did you make a film called HUNTER?
We made Hunter to prove to ourselves that we can take on more ambitious, action heavy, projects, whilst still keeping the heart of a human drama, which Hunter ultimately is. At its core it’s just a story about a father who loves his daughter, and wants to keep her safe at all cost. It’s very human.
Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?
We feel that it encapsulates many genres that can cater to most audience members. With a good mix of action, science fiction, and drama in it, it keeps a fast tempo throughout, never really bogging down.
How do personal and universal themes work in your film?
The theme of hope is the most prominent in the film. It’s one that we feel best fits into both, personal, and universal themes. The idea surrounds the notion that, no matter how bad things may seem, there is a way. We present this through Jack and Rose’s journey, as they aimlessly travel around, always on the run, but when you least expect it, an opportunity arrives that could lead to a safe haven.
How have the script and film evolved over the course of their development and production?
The script went through a lot of drafts before we felt it was ready for shooting. We tried honing in on the themes we wanted to express, and cut off any unnecessary fat that would bloat out the story. In editing, once we actually had all we needed, the film stayed pretty true to its intended goal.
What type of feedback have you received so far?
People really like it. In a way it’s been overwhelming how positive the feedback has been so far. We also enjoy the debate of what actually happens in the end, No spoilers…
Has the feedback surprised or challenged your point of view?
Surprised? Yes. Challenged? No. The majority of criticism we have received we generally agree with, and has taught us what to focus on next time around.
What are you looking to achieve by having your film more visible on www.wearemovingstories.com?
To gain exposure and to also get the film and our names out there. We want people to know about the film. A film isn’t made for you, it is made for an audience. We want an audience, and we want them to be satisfied.
Who do you need to come on board (producers, sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalists) to amplify this film’s message?
Sales agents, buyers, distributors, film festival directors, journalist… whoever could aid the process of getting the film out there.
What type of impact and/or reception would you like this film to have?
We’re not trying to break new ground with the film, so in terms of impact, we just want the audience to be reached and entertained. We want them to have fun, to feel the story, characters and enjoy the story we’re telling.
What’s a key question that will help spark a debate or begin a conversation about this film?
Is the reward worth the risk?
Would you like to add anything else?

We would love to hear any feedback about what the audience thought about the film.
What are the key creatives developing or working on now?
As a team, we are working on getting a feature film up and running, so we have a few potential projects in the works that are in pre-production, stay tuned!
